Utes in the Paddock weekend.

If you missed this weekend, well, you missed a good one. We met at Bathurst as usual and traveled to Forbes to meet up with local organiser Helen Dent. From the motel we walked the short distance to the Vandenberg hotel where Steven and Paul cooked a wonderful lunch. After lunch some went for coffee and others visited some of the museums in Forbes and Parkes. Saturday night some of our party went to the Parkes telescope for the Opera under the stars which according to all accounts was great. Sunday morning dawned and after breakfast at the motel dining room we followed Helen to Ootha to visit the Utes. Laurie had organised with the Station owners Graham and Jana Pickles for a special tour of the Utes and the Homestead. After the Utes some traveled home, others who stayed another night in Forbes went off to the telescope for lunch. Another great Western event. Special thanks to Helen and Laurie for all their work over the weekend.
